Does this look like tomorrow’s short range transport boat?

Our intention, at the Maritime Transport Efficiency Conference, is to reassemble the actors who work on solutions to improve energy efficiency, give visibility to their research and connect them with the main players on a global scale.

There are numerous possibilities to explore: fuels, propulsion systems, hydrodynamics, antifouling paint, construction techniques…

Like all modes of transportation, ships produce carbon dioxide emissions that significantly contribute to global climate change and acidification. Over 90 percent of world trade is carried across the world’s oceans by some 90,000 marine vessels. It is a necessity to improve this industry’s energy efficiency and to work in a positive spirit, looking at concrete, pragmatic and realistic solutions.
