The Maritime Transport Efficiency Conference focuses on all boat scales, from large ships to environmentally friendly small boats. Let’s take the example of the futuristic “Evian One”, which now sails on Lake Léman and transports its passengers from Evian to Geneva in less than 30 minutes. The boat, fast and ecological, was designed by the company A2V (Advanced Aerodynamic Vessels) located in La Rochelle, France.

Its design combining water and air allows it to brush against the water and reach a speed of 110 km/h. The boat rises on the water and offers suspended navigation in order to reduce the structure’s contact with water by half. This system reduces fuel consumption and thus the ecological footprint.

It is no longer uncommon to see the “Evian One” wandering quietly around the Geneva water jet.
