Eman Abdalla

Eman Abdalla is a global maritime and supply chain leader with almost three decades of executive experience, recognized for driving systemic change at the intersection of trade, sustainability, and innovation.

Until June 2025, she served as Vice President and Global Operations Lead at Cargill Ocean Transportation, where she led 250 professionals across six hubs and managed a 700-vessel fleet transporting over 200 million tons of cargo annually. She also chaired the Sea Cargo Charter, helping to establish it as the leading global framework for climate accountability and maritime transparency.

Her career has spanned Africa, North America, Asia, and Europe, consistently blending operational excellence with strategic vision in shipping, mining, and global logistics. She is widely regarded as a catalyst for progress — championing decarbonization, digital transformation, and human sustainability across the maritime value chain.

Eman now serves on the Advisory Boards of the Panama Canal Authority and Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore, and as a Non-Executive Director at Synergy Marine Group. She previously sat on the board of ZeroNorth and continues to play an active role in shaping the industry’s governance and sustainability agenda.

Eman holds a Master’s degree in International Shipping and Logistics from the Norwegian School of Management and the Norwegian Shipping Academy. Today, she focuses on advising boards and organizations committed to building a smarter, more inclusive, and sustainable maritime future.
