Just three months after MEPC 80, the Maritime Transport Efficiency Conference will be the first post-summer conference to discuss the proposals made in London with concrete examples and sufficient hindsight. The conference will address key questions such as the achievability of the targets, the technologies involved and potential sources of funding.

It will delve into the decarbonisation of shipping focusing on the unique perspectives of the dry bulk market as well as the oil and gas industry; showcase the latest developments in biofuels and LNG; take a sharp look at wind propulsion including the initial results of full-scale tests carried out by BAR Technologies WindWings with the support of Cargill. Energy efficiency optimisation will also be one of the key topics of the conference with MSC Cruises presenting their first net-zero voyage achieved with MSC Euribia in June.
